Yoga
Regular yoga practice creates mental clarity by resetting the mind and giving it a sense of calmness.
Yoga meaning ‘Unity’ is like a flower that opens up layer after layer of new growth and meaning. Unity is a place of holding, of awareness, creativity, strength, humility, kindness and purpose - each description holding more than one word could describe.
Yoga is a lifestyle choice of being true to who you are and honouring your own unique authenticity. Yoga does not judge or discriminate. The west have focused so much on the asanas and flexibility but this is just a small part of yoga and certainly not the goal.
Yoga allows you to listen to your own needs and helps you understand your body alone. Its not about comparing yourself or expecting more than your body is ready for.
It allows space to breath and recognise which parts of yourself you are still hiding from.

Take time out. Step back from stress or worry. Just ten minutes a day has the power to change your life. A retreat can be an hour or a day or more, it just means to step back and take time out. Joining a yoga class is about taking time to honour your life an understand your mind and body.

Relaxation is the best thing you can do for yourself. After all no one else can do this for you. By working with the body, you can give your mind permission to let go.

So many times I have not wanted to go to yoga because I was tired or stressed and every time I went (with the knowledge I could come to rest at any point) I came out feeling like a new body. Restored in the strength and resilience I needed.
